Runs in the Family I Guess....

We are now seeing how some players make it into the realm of the dark heart of Chelsea FC. Sounds like this problem of evil, deception, and thievery at Chelsea is a generational one. Apparently the Chelsea Team Captain's (a role model for his teammates and young children) Mum and Mum-in-law were caught stealing athletic gear and food from some local stores. With a weekly salary of 134,000 pounds a week, can't Mr. Terry provide a little for his family so they don't need to steal to get food and clothes? Or is that a Chelsea club culture thing?

Meh. Sounds like they were taken advantage of somehow. I am missing how this relates to Chelsea? If anything, I would think this story is an example of an amazing team bringing an amazing person out of a rough background and giving him a chance at glory.

John Terry has no choice about who his mother is. He can't help it if even after he lavishes homes and clothes and expensive cars on her, she chooses to make bad decisions (allegedly). All John Terry can control is John Terry. If only every other team captain in the world was as upstanding and capable of fighting through adverse upbringing to be a model citizen. If only Steven "boyscout" Gerrard could overcome his silver spoon upbringing enough to refrain from bashing in a random man's face with 5 of his close friends.

I'll take a stupid parent over just being plain stupid any day.
